Aim
The Cambodian Craft Cooperation (CCC) is an association representing the
interests of small and medium business enterprises involved in craft
production in Cambodia.
History & Philosophy
CCC was founded in August 1997 by the Handwerkskammer Koblenz (Chamber of
Commerce of Koblenz, Germany) to provide support to micro, small and family
run craft enterprises and develop their economic potential.
Over the past nine years, CCC, together with the Handwerkskammer Koblenz,
has carried out various activities, such as holding workshops on the topic
of micro enterprises, craft design; provided advanced training on technology
and management and participated in trade fairs and exhibitions at home and
abroad. CCC has also supported the establishment of basic training centers
in different provinces, e.g. pottery in Kampong Chhnang and wickerware in
Kratie.
CCC currently runs a training centre in Takeo Province, where artisans
produce a range of silk products which are sold through the CCC shop in
Phnom Penh and to international buyers.
