Aim
Cooperation for Prosperity (CFP) is a local not-for-profit and non-political
NGO based in Cambodia and is committed to promoting peace, cooperation and
development in Cambodia.
History & Philosophy
CFP has been supported by New Humanity, an Italian NGO working in Cambodia
since 1992. We aim to promote integral human development through a strategy
of community-based projects, including the Women’s Initiative Support
Project.
This project provides support and training to rural Cambodian communities to
take responsibility for their own development. In order to mitigate rural
migration to the city, we established and manage rural-based sewing centers,
providing alternative gainful employment. Through these centers, CFP
organizes training in fields such as sewing, tailoring and embroidery. To
complement these services we also provide marketing assistance to sell these
products along with seed funding for communities to initiate their own Small
Medium Enterprises (SME), businesses independent of CFP.
